Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SHS Planner (shsplanner.com). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. What the Service Is

SHS Planner is a tool that generates draft teaching documents — lesson plans, assessments with marking schemes and tables of specification, schemes of work, and presentation slides — using artificial intelligence. It is a drafting aid for qualified teachers, not a replacement for professional judgement.

2. Independence from GES and NaCCA

SHS Planner is a private, independently owned website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by, or connected in any way to the Ghana Education Service, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the Ministry of Education, or any other government body. Nothing produced by this service is an official document, and we make no representation that any output will be accepted by any school, directorate or authority.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate details and keep your account secure.
You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
Accounts are for individual teachers. Do not share your login.
You must be at least 18 years old.

4. Credits, Payment and Refunds

New accounts receive free credits. Further credits may be purchased.
A credit is deducted only when a document is successfully generated.
If a generation fails, the credit is automatically refunded to your account.
Payments are handled by Paystack. We do not see or store your card or mobile money credentials.
Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money.
Because credits are consumed immediately on successful generation, purchased credits are generally non-refundable once used. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will investigate in good faith.
Prices may change. Changes do not affect credits already purchased.

5. Accuracy and Your Responsibility

All output is AI-generated and must be reviewed before use. It may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or content that does not fit your class, syllabus or school requirements.

You remain fully responsible for anything you teach, submit or distribute. Specifically, you agree that you will:

Read and check every document before using or submitting it
Correct any factual, curricular or pedagogical errors
Adapt content to your learners and your school's requirements
Not rely on the service as an authoritative source of curriculum content or policy

6. Ownership of Documents

Documents generated for you are yours to use. You may edit, print, share with colleagues, and use them in your teaching, including in schools where you are employed. We claim no ownership over your generated documents or the inputs you provide.

The website itself — its code, design, branding and templates — remains our property and may not be copied, resold or redistributed.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit access to the service
Use automated tools to scrape, bulk-generate or overload the service
Attempt to bypass credit limits, payment, or any security measure
Upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content
Enter personal information about learners or other identifiable individuals
Use the service to produce misleading, defamatory or unlawful material
Misrepresent the service as official, government-approved or GES-endorsed

8. Availability

We aim to keep SHS Planner running reliably, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, including failures at our host, payment processor or AI provider. Features may change, and the service is under active development.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SHS Planner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, generated content — including any professional, disciplinary or academic consequence.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time via the contact page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or attempt fraud. Where a suspension is our error, unused credits will be restored.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and significant updates will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
